Anaerobic glues dispensing

Anaerobic fluids are adhesives that harden when two conditions occur, lack of air and contact with reactive materials, such as metals and alloys.

The typical applications are:

  • bonding of bearings
  • gluing of bushings
  • locking of screw, grains and thorns threads

Due to their highly reactive nature it is essential that the entire circuit is preserved from contact with metal, even in powder or chip.

The glues are usually fed through tanks, which prevent any transfer, contamination or risk of fouling.

The PT2 series tanks, for example, are specifically designed to accommodate the common 250 ml jars of Loctite or Loxeal glue (trademarks owned by their respective owners) and to monitor their level without direct contact.

The dispensing of anaerobic glues can be done with diaphragm pressure / time valves such as the DA250 or with the latest PCP volumetric pumps.

The PCP volumetric pumps, in their special version for anaerobic and thread lockers, have a PEEK body and a POM rotor, thus avoiding contact between the glue and any reactive material.

These pumps guarantee a volumetric dispensing of anaerobic glues and can be used to create curbs, points or glue circular seats if mounted on centrifugal systems.

Threading dispense is no longer a grain, but becomes an extremely repeatable, reliable and adjustable process via software without any mechanical setup.

Other process controls are available, such as:

  • objectification of the amount of glue dosed
  • detection and purging of any air bubbles in the glue
  • objectivisation of the glue on the piece
  • continuous control of the glue tank level
