With the advent of the progressive electrification of actuators and drive motors, thermal management has become one of the most discussed topics by designers.
Â
The dispensing of thermoconductive pastes therefore becomes a forced choice for:
Â
- automate the assembly process
- dissipate and keep the temperature of the electronic components under control
- compensate for any games between the parties.
Â
These pastes, called Gap Fillers in jargon, can be single-component or bicomponent and are usually loaded to transmit heat effectively.
Â
The gap fillers are dispensed with the volumetric pumps of the PCP or PDP series, guaranteeing an accurate, adjustable and repeatable deposition.
Â
To counteract the abrasive effect, the rotors are available in Carbide or even in Ceramics, instead of the classic stainless steel.
Â
The most common applications where there are dispenses of thermocoductive pastes are:
Â
- incorporating sensors and temperature probes
- heat dissipation on electronic boards
- temperature dissipation on e-mobility battery packs
